Dear Members of the De La Salle Community,

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.”

This call to prayer has been the foundation for Lasallian spirituality for several centuries, and this faith in the presence of God has permeated every aspect of De La Salle High School since its inception in 1949.  I am grateful, humbled, honored, and excited to be the next President of De La Salle High School.  Most especially, I am very much looking forward to working alongside all constituencies of the De La Salle school community to continue the wonderfully good work of former President Dr. Michael Guillot whose vision, passion, innovation, and selflessness called the De La Salle school community to a level of excellence of which St. John Baptist de La Salle, the Patron Saint of Teachers, would be proud.  I commend Interim President, Dr. Myles Seghers ‘65, and all the members of the De La Salle school community for their commitment to maintaining the vision and energy of Dr. Guillot.

De La Salle High School has been a vital and vibrant aspect of Catholic secondary education in the metro New Orleans area for over 65 years, and I will use my tenure as President to ensure that De La Salle continues to move forward in faith, in gratitude, in excellence, in commitment, in community, and in joy.  I am excited about building relationships with the many members of the De La Salle community, and I look forward to the daily responsibilities I will assume as President to advance and balance the ongoing apostolic, pedagogical, community, and business realities that exist at De La Salle High School.

I also take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to Fr. Michael Nam Nguyen, Pastor of Christ the King Parish, and to all the members of the Christ the King Parish School Community in Terrytown for welcoming and supporting me as principal these past two years.  It is truly a wonderful school and parish community, and I have been blessed to be able to serve with such faith-filled, dynamic, family-focused and caring people.

“St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.”

“Live, Jesus, in our hearts, forever.”

“Loving and serving Him in all things.”

Sincerely,
