Dear Cavaliers,

I have the sad news to report that Dr. Felix A. Gaudin, who taught in the science department at De La Salle High School for 33 years, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, after a sudden illness. Dr. Gaudin, who was a product of Christian Brothers’ education, thoroughly enjoyed his years of teaching generations of Cavaliers, and he relished the many friendships he made during his years of devoted, selfless, and excellent service.

Long-time De La Salle High School faculty member Peggy St. John said this about Dr. Gaudin: “He led by example and was respected by the administration, faculty, staff, and, of course, his students. He was very serious about making academics a priority in his classroom, and his students appreciated his dedication to excellence in the classroom.”

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betsy, three daughters, and four grandchildren.

The funeral is open to the public this Friday, January 12, 2018, at Holy Name of Jesus Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and the funeral mass following at 11:00 a.m.

Please keep Dr. Gaudin’s family in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts, forever.

Michael Giambelluca
President
De La Salle High School
