Lewis took home first place in one of the premier indoor track and field events this weekend at the LHSAA championships in Baton Rouge. The 5-foot-7 junior finished with a rare sub-seven in the 60-meter dash (video) recording an official time of 6.99. Lewis beat out Southern Lab’s Devin Dixon, who finished with a time of 7.09. He also won NOLA.com’s online voting receiving 513 votes (41.1 percent), 168 more than St. Martin’s guard Brandon Womac.
